How much does a website cost in Ghana?
For a professionally built marketing site, realistically between GHS 7,000 and GHS 20,000 depending on how many pages there are, whether you need to edit content yourself, and whether the branding already exists. Below about GHS 5,000 you are usually buying a template with someone else’s structure, which costs more to replace later than it saved.
How much does a mobile app cost in Ghana?
A real app with accounts, payments and a back office generally starts around GHS 35,000 and rises with the number of screens and integrations. Building in React Native means iOS and Android come from one codebase, so you are not paying twice for the same product.
Why can you not just give me a fixed price?
Because a fixed price given before the scope is understood is a guess, and guesses get corrected later at your expense. The calculator gives an indicative range. After a scoping conversation you get a written scope with fixed deliverables and a firm number, and that number does not move unless the scope does.
What are the payment terms?
A 50% deposit before work begins and the balance on completion, before final delivery of files and assets. Bank transfer or mobile money. For larger platforms the work can be split into stages, each with its own deposit and delivery.
Does the estimate include hosting and domain?
No. Hosting, domain and any third-party services are billed by their providers directly to you, in your name, which is how it should be. Expect a few hundred cedis a year for a small site, more for a platform needing a VPS. The deployment add-on covers setting it all up and handing it over.
What about maintenance after launch?
Bug fixes and technical support are included for 30 days after delivery at no extra cost. Beyond that, ongoing maintenance is a separate monthly arrangement, and it is optional. The written handover means you can take it to another developer instead.
