Web and software developer in Accra

I live and work in Accra. Most of what I have built is running in this city.

Accra is where the work is and where I am. That matters more than it should have to: a developer you can meet, whose other clients you can call, and who is in the same timezone when something breaks at four in the afternoon is a materially different proposition from an agency reached only through a contact form.

The businesses I build for here are ordinary Accra businesses with real operational problems. A spa and salon complex at Oyarifa running six separate businesses on one system. A law firm tracking cases that used to live in a vanilla PHP tool. A cybersecurity firm, an oil and gas consultancy in East Legon, an NGO, a laundry, a timber exporter. None of them needed a fashionable stack. They needed software that matched how they actually work.

If you are in Greater Accra and weighing up whether to hire a developer directly or go through an agency, the honest answer is that it depends on scope. For a single product with one person accountable end to end, direct is usually better value. For something needing a team of six, it is not, and I will say so.

What I build for them

Hiring a developer in Accra: common questions

Where in Accra are you based?
Accra, Greater Accra Region. Meetings are by appointment and held at public venues such as coffee shops or restaurants, or online by video call, whichever suits you.
Do you work with businesses outside Accra?
Yes. I have built for clients in Tema, and a school management system for a basic school in Dunkwa-on-Offin in the Central Region, as well as for clients outside Ghana. Most of the work happens remotely regardless of the city.
How do I hire a web developer in Accra?
Start by writing down the problem rather than the solution. A developer who asks what you are trying to achieve before quoting a price is worth more than one who quotes immediately. Ask to see running software they built, ask who owns the hosting and domain afterwards, and get the scope in writing before any money moves.
Can we meet in person before I commit?
Yes, and for a project of any size it is a good idea. Meetings are by appointment at a public venue in Accra. For in-person meetings the client covers transport, agreed in advance.
